Last week some guests were telling us their adventures and the amount of fun they had with their bike rentals from Fun and More Rentals.

One of their day trips was:

- To Longboat Key and St Armands circle and Sarasota. They explained they left in the morning and biked to Longboat Key and stopped for some lunch. Recent news on Anna Maria is that the city widened the bicycle lanes on Gulf Drive. The wider lanes are now alot more biker friendly. Eventhough the speed limit is only 25 miles per hour bike safety is always our number one concern. However, one word of caution to our renters is that there still are many side streets that are very narrow and have blind corners especially on North Shore Drive in the City of Anna Maria.

Overall, biking is the best way to get around the Island to enjoy the sites, be environmentally concious and get a little exercise.
